Compote de pommes isn’t only baby food. In fact it’s one of the best things you can eat to take care of your gut (and indirectly your brain, which we wrote about here). Plus it’s apple season so it couldn’t be more suitable! Here’s our simple yet tasty recipe! Your belly and tastebuds will thank you!

1 big jar
40 minutes

• 15 apples ish

• Water

• 2 Cinnamon sticks

• Half a lemon

Start by washing the apples and cutting them in pieces (no need for perfectly cut cubes, they’ll be mixed later anyway!). Add them to a big saucepan and add some water (it should almost cover it all but don’t put too much since the apples will “break their water” too). Then let it boil until the apples are tender and let it cool for a while. Add the lemon juice and mix with a handmixer (easier!) or put in a blender. Mix/blend until it’s sumptuous and almost silky. Pour it in a jar and add the cinnamon sticks. Let it absorb the cinnamoness for a while and ENJOY!
